Japji Sahib Course in Southeast Asia (Singapore)
Wahe Guru Ji Ka Khalsa, Wahe Guru Ji Ki Fateh.
The Sikh Centre in Singapore has extended a tremendously kind invitation for me to each a course on Japji Sahib during Guru Nanak’s birthday weekend.
The dates and times for the classes are:
Friday, 3 Nov 2006 (7:30pm to 9:30pm)
Saturday, 4 Nov 2006 (10:30am to 4:00pm)
Sunday, 5 Nov 2006 (10:30am to 4:00pm)
In special honor/celebration of Guru Nanak’s birthday – the Sikh Centre is providing this course either FREE OF CHARGE or at a reasonable rate. Which means that all YOU need to do is get yourself to Singapore, show up for the class, and we’ll meditate on the Guru’s words. A wonderful end to 2006 and a great way to prepare for 2007.
Never having traveled to Singapore myself (this will be my first time) – I cannot tell you exactly where the Sikh Centre is located. But to reserve your spot for the course and for more information and directions, kindly contact

The course will integrate chanting, meditation, and a little bit of yoga with conversations/dialogues about the different paurees of Japji Sahib.

PS. Apologies to all you readers that my blog posts have been far less frequent in 2006 than I had hoped. You'd be surprised how long it takes me to write some of these essays. First - they have to swim around in my mind for a while - and then I take notes about them on bits of napkins and random pieces of paper stuck in my purse. Then I do a first draft - which I invariably hate. Have to totally throw it out. Then a week or so later - do a second draft, which works better. And then finally a third draft where - whether I like it or not - it's done. Usually, if I'm bored with it by the time the third draft is done - then it's "completely cooked," so to speak. Or I'm completely cooked. Or you, the reader, are completely cooked. Anyway - by God's grace, something tasty results.
Not to burden you with my artistic process or anything. But please know I would like to post more. And pray that one of these months I will post more. But for today - this is the post. I've got a few other ideas rattling around my brain - but none of them have made it to the scraps of paper in my purse, yet.
So thank you for your kind patience.
